Nina Reistad, Senior Lecturer in Physics, has been awarded the Educator of the Year award by the W-section of the Student Union of Technology at Lund University. She receives the award for her inspiring and committed way of teaching, where she combines clarity with a genuine interest in student learning.

Nina Reistad is responsible for a course in physics and electricity, gases and liquids, which she teaches to students on LTH's MSc programme in fire engineering and risk, safety and crisis management.

- It is a great honour that means a lot to me. Teaching at the Faculty of Engineering (LTH) again after ten years has been a challenge but also incredibly rewarding thanks to fantastic students and my wonderful colleagues at the Department of Physics, says Nina Reistad.

The Student Union's W-section particularly emphasises her ability to create a safe and motivating learning environment and describes her as ‘more than a lecturer - an inspiration’.
